If I die alone
its because you were with me
its because you insisted I drive
to the edge of my mind
in the dark
If I knew it was coming
its because you wouldn’t kiss me
and everything bad that i’d done
filled the space in the gun
like a spark
it’s not like you tried to deny me
anything at all
but being happy was kind of the same
if you could’ve just
kept it down for a while
maybe i could’ve stayed
If I look away
its because you were lucky
its because you enabled the crime
i’d been itching to try
on myself
but how is this fair to me
you should take care of me
what did i do to deserve your distaste
in loving the best of me
you made the worst of me
now i’m designed to prescribe my own fate
its not like you tried to deny me
